Summer Camp Financial & Cancellation Policies
Deposits
We require a 20% deposit per camp session per camper. The deposit is due within two weeks of acceptance into a session. If not paid within two weeks, your camper’s spot in camp is no longer guaranteed and may be filled by another camper. You are also welcome to pay in full at the time of registration. Tuition balance for camp is due one month before the program start date.
Refunds
In the event that cancellation is necessary:
Until April 30: tuition and deposit are fully refundable
Between May 1-May 31: deposit is forfeited, the rest of the tuition balance is refundable
After June 1: Cancellations made at least one month prior to your scheduled session can receive a 50% refund
Within one month of session: Tuition is non-refundable
In the event of illness: "Split the Hit"
For the health of our camp staff and community, we ask that campers not come to camp to camp if they are sick. However, we know this places a financial burden on families with our refund policy. If your camper is sick when they are scheduled to come for camp, we will work together to try to find another time later in the summer for your camper to come to Ekone. If we cannot find another camp session that works for your family, we will offer to "split the hit" with you, refunding 50% of tuition.
In the event of cancellation by Ekone due to wildfire, pandemic, or any other reason: "Split the Hit"
There may be times when Ekone is forced to cancel a session of camp due to safety issues and circumstances beyond our control. Our policy is to share in this risk with camp families and “split the hit” - we refund all campers from any canceled session 50% of their tuition.
To help with the cost of camp, we offer:
Payment Plans: Monthly payment plans (up to the end of the year) can be set up automatically through our payment service. Please let us know if this would be helpful and we will work with you to set it up.
Scholarships: Applying for a scholarship is easy. When you are applying for camp, just click the box that says you are interested in a scholarship, and the scholarship application will appear on the next page of the application. A partial-tuition deposit will be required to confirm your camper’s space in camp.
These policies may be updated from time to time. We always strive to be fair and human while maintaining appropriate boundaries for the health of Ekone!
