How Donations Support our Work

Only half of the ranch’s annual operating budget comes from earned income (tuition, site sales, etc). Your financial support is vital to ensuring that Ekone does not become a place only for the most wealthy; that we can care for this land the way it deserves; that our staff are fairly compensated; and that the organization will weather the tests of time.  Click the button below to donate online, or here for all of the ways you can donate to support our work.

Where your Money Goes

Supporting a small, scrappy organization like Ekone means that your donation makes a big impact. It’s not a drop in the bucket, here. We put every dollar to good use in a lean, efficient, hands-on organizational structure. 

We are honored when you trust us to apply your unrestricted gift to wherever it’s needed most. We also accept restricted gifts for our Scholarship Fund, to support low-income campers and families, and the Conservation Fund, to protect and steward this land.

Give Stock

Stock donations can have excellent tax benefits for you, avoiding capital gains taxes and transforming those investments into work on the ground here at Ekone! Talk to your financial advisor and contact shonie@ekone.org for our brokerage account information.

Give by Mail

Your check in the mail saves on processing fees, and makes checking the mail so fun! Checks can be made out to Sacred Earth Foundation, and sent to 401 Ekone Rd, Goldendale, WA 98620

Give through a Donor Advised Fund or Family Foundation

Does your family have a charitable fund? Please do consider Ekone in your giving decisions, and just let us know if you'd like to see a proposal or financial information.

Give Monthly

Recurring donations help us plan with confidence! You can set up a recurring gift through any of the links above, or with your bank to automatically mail us a check every month.

Give a Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you're over 70 1/2 and have an IRA, you're likely required to draw an annual distribution - there can be tax advantages to gifting a portion of that distribution to a nonprofit. Check with your financial advisor!

Let the land, kids, critters, and nourishing programs of Sacred Earth Foundation, Ekone Ranch, and White Eagle Memorial Preserve be a part of your earthly legacy!

By making Sacred Earth Foundation a beneficiary of your estate, you’ll support transformative work at Ekone long into the future. 

It’s easy, and you don’t have to be wealthy to do it.

Common forms of planned giving include

  • Bequest of a specific dollar amount. This may be the simplest way to benefit SEF in your will, avoiding probate and other complications.

  • Bequest of a percentage of your estate. Another excellent option, depending on how settling your estate after death goes.

  • Stocks & Securities. There can be significant tax benefits to donating these assets, now or through your will. 

  • Retirement Fund. Designating SEF as a beneficiary of your retirement fund is really easy (usually a simple form).

  • Life Insurance. Designating SEF as a beneficiary of your life insurance is usually really easy too.

  • Bequest of personal property. Perhaps an item we could use, or an item of value we’d sell ~ please contact us to ensure that it meets our Gift Acceptance Policy.

  • Bequest of real estate. Depending on the property we may steward it or sell it as best serves SEF’s mission ~ do contact us to be sure that we can accept this gift.
