TECHNOLOGY
We run a low-tech operation and invite guests to take a break from the constant screens and communications. We encourage you to leave your phones and such in the car! At summer camp, devices are simply not allowed, for campers or staff. We don’t police adult guests, just offer an opportunity to take a break and be present in the moment, and request that any tech use be low-profile to help us maintain an atmosphere of presence.
If you must make a call, check email, etc, you may not get service in the Valley, but if you walk up the driveway or up towards the cemetery most people find a signal there. And we do have need-based wifi available if you really must - just ask and we’ll negotiate. :)
Feel free to give the main ranch phone number, 509-773-4536, to friends and family as an emergency contact, and your program leader may offer their cell phone number as an additional contact.
WISHLIST
If you are interested in bringing something to donate to the ranch, we'd love that! Here is a link to our Wishlist. We also always enjoy crusty bread, chocolate, coffee, and any surplus from your garden or other edible overabundance!
