Event Details & FAQ

• WHO: YOU! and 300ish other fabulous humans of all ages!

• WHAT: Ekone's annual family festival and fundraiser, back in person this year!

• WHEN: Gates open at 11am Saturday, September 23, and cleanup starts at noon on Sunday, September 24. We will be posting the Event Schedule soon, and you can come for all, or part!

• WHERE: Ekone Ranch, 401 Ekone Rd, Goldendale, WA.  Click Here for directions (don't use your GPS)

• WHY: To celebrate and support the resilience of land and community! And have fun!

• HOW: Through the labor of 60+ volunteers & staff, and the generosity of attendees! Want to help make the magic? Email susan@ekone.org to volunteer, or Click Here to make a donation. 

• TICKETS: We have abandoned the concept of tickets, in favor of reciprocal generosity! Please come be our guest, and support the work of Ekone Ranch as generously as you are able.

• RSVP:  Is really important to help us plan!  Please, please, please RSVP!

• LODGING: This is a camping event! We'll have two sweet camping areas set up, in the Aspen Grove and the Oak Meadows. The Bunkhouse is reserved for volunteers. Goldendale has two comfortable motels, the Ponderosa and Quality Inn, just 25 minutes away!

• FRIDAY: Is our setup day with the Superstar volunteer crew...we are unable to accommodate early arrivals, sorry! If you'd like to camp in the area on Friday night, check out Brooks Memorial State Park.

• DOGS:  Nope, sorry.  <3

• AUCTION: We'll have a live auction with about 15 rad items, including some sweet Ekone experiences available ONLY at the Ball. Have an item to contribute? Email susan@ekone.org with your offer!

• SILENT AUCTION BECOMES MOST EXCELLENT MERCH TABLE:  Last year we quit doing a silent auction, and we do not miss the logistics...but we DO miss having a fun and beautiful shopping experience at the Ball, seeing the wonderful things created by our community, and inviting folks to support Ekone in this way! We're looking for gifts of quality items (handcrafted? Ekone-themed? one-of-a-kind? unique experiences?), mostly under $200 in value, to offer for sale alongside Ekone merch at the event. Email susan@ekone.org with your offer, or tell us about it when you RSVP!

• REMOTE BIDS: Are welcome, just email shonie@ekone.org with your bid limit and we'll assign you a proxy bidder!

• CASH BAR & MERCH:  The beer garden will accept cash and card. Ekone merch will also be available for purchase.

• HEALTH AND WELLNESS:  We are not requiring a Covid test this year ~ but please, please, please do not attend the Ball if you aren't feeling well.  Masks are always welcome, and the event is largely outdoors!

• DESSERTS & MUSICAL SQUARES:  Can you bring a yummy dessert for our fun Musical Squares game? Let us know when you RSVP! (Read Here about why we're not calling this a "cakewalk" anymore, and for details about how we're Ekone-ifying this game!)

• KIDS:  Yes! Bring kids! They will have so much fun! Also please plan on actively supervising and parenting them...it's not camp.  :)
