Dear Potential Earth Stewards,

Sacred Earth Foundation is a perpetual non-profit land trust foundation with over 1200 acres of pine and oak savannah canyon land located in south central Washington State. Our intention is to protect the land and pass it on intact to future generations. Our vision at Sacred Earth Foundation is to develop a community of devoted land stewards, that are committed to rooting on the land long term. We believe that by devoting ourselves to the earth and treating it in a sacred way, we learn to see ourselves, others and all life as sacred as well. Creating lifestyles and support systems that are home-based and sustainable and thus making us available for each other, is of utmost importance to us. Home education and mentoring children has always been a big part of life here (see www.ekone.org).

We are seeking:

Talented wood workers to head up timber resource management and a rustic furniture business. We have an abundance of pine and oak, a wood miser band saw mill, many other tools and a 40x40 shop space. Experienced folks to create a year-round organic food growing business. We have a health department approved kitchen suitable for producing food for market. Committed horse helpers that want to live close to the land and help train and care for our beautiful herd of Thorappian horses. Skills and interests include: fencing, horse training, working with children, love of wilderness, and indigenous skills. Adults with qualifications and vision to develop a mentorship program for young people. Caring for our elders is a priority for us and may be a part of this program.

We are interested in assisting others to create homestead businesses that contribute to the good of the whole. A financial and time (work) commitment, as well as a yearly visionary project, is required for all who live on Sacred Earth Foundation land.
