For all of us at Ekone, Buffalo represent the enormity of the restoration movement. We feel that Indians and the buffalo, as a consequence of the taking of North America by our ancestors, got a very raw deal. As a matter of spirit and honor, we feel we must make amends. Restoring the American Bison to North America is a mission of Sacred Earth Foundation,  our land trust.  We raise bison as a non-profit benefit to help support this foundation. Our broadest vision is to help bison re-inhabit the ecosystems on the North American continent where they once thrived, for to live without them is unacceptable. To live with them is beyond words!  Magnificent comes close.

If you would like to start raising bison yourself, we encourage you! We now have several cows and bull calves available for a simple donation to the Sacred Earth Foundation. We make trauma free natural jerky with no preservatives whatsoever and will soon have it available by special order.
